About This Property
Salishan Tree House Suite overlooks one of the most magical places on Vancouver Island. In the shadow of Mt. Tzouhalem the Salishan Tree House Suite sits oceanside with spectacular views of Cowichan Bay. This luxurious two bedroom suite was built to embrace the natural surroundings and the region's rich cultural and natural history. When you first enter the property through the ornate salmon run metal gates, to the forest path and walkway bridge into the suite, the hillside suite prepares you for an incredible experience when you first open the suite doors. Once entering the suite you will be amazed by the architecture and sweeping views from the windows of the main living room and open plan dining and European styled kitchenette space. The large and spacious suite is tastefully decorated with touches of indigenous artwork and a main balcony from the living room to step out and soak in the ambience of west coast living. The large primary bedroom with queen sized bed has its own balcony, TV, and incredible views of the bay. The second bedroom, also with a queen sized bed, has a large space with a private balcony and views of the bay. Cable TV and WIFI included. Salishan Tree House Suite is an EV-charging-ready property equipped with an OK2Charge Level 2 Smart EV Charger. Situated close to the Cowichan River estuary, plan to see all kinds of wildlife from eagles above, seals patrolling the shorelines, and if you are lucky the odd whale sightings. There is a second 1 bedroom suite below that can be rented separately if you need extra space. Amazing hiking nearby on Mt. Tzouhalem, Maple Mountain, and the Cowichan River Trail. Bring your own kayaks to explore the ocean first hand or take a short drive away to the Cowichan Bay Village to rent or take a kayak tour. You are also in the heart of Vancouver Islands wine country. Some of the best wines in British Columbia are grown and produced in the Cowichan Valley. Tour the wineries and pair up a meal at the bistros. You can find all that you need for shopping in nearby Duncan to pick up groceries, go out to restaurants, and shop in the old town. Explore the many cultural attractions in the region from deep indigenous history to modern day settler history. Easy drive to the Garden City of Victoria to the south or to the Harbour City of Nanaimo to the north. Close to ferries to and from Vancouver BC and Washington State and airports in Victoria and Nanaimo.
